Hahaha laugh it up what a funny name but once you get past all the immaturity it really is an awesome creature.
The sperm whale is the largest toothed animal on the planet adult males grow to about 60 feet long and can weigh up to 50 tons! The females are smaller growing up to 40 feet and 18 tons. The brain of a sperm whale weighs about 20 lbs that is the largest brain of any animal in the world. The sperm whales teeth are large and cone shaped, and they weigh about two lbs each. the long thin lower jaw has about 50-60 teeth and when not in use they fit in to sockets in the upper jaw. The four chambered heart of the whale weighs about 277 lbs.
The whale is carnivorous feeding on a variety of things the most common is the giant squid. let that absorb for a moment. from the sperm whales belly is how we originally uncovered the giant squids existence we further found out more about the squid by following the whales to remote islands in japan where the first pictures of a live giant squid were taken. the whales also eat large fish and are even known to snack on a rare filter-feeding mega mouth shark off the coats of Indonesia.
the sperm whale holds the record of the deepest diving whale. although the whale usually dwells near the surface the whale hunts the giant squid which is a bottom dweller. but the younger whales known as calf's stay near the surface and the mothers bring them back large pieces of the prey because the have not learned to hold their breath for long periods of time. the sperm whale can dive up to 10,500 feet deep and hold its breath for about an hour it does this by with holding blood from less essential parts of the body and using the oxygen to fuel only the most essential organs scientists do not know if the act is conscious but they believe it is.
Sperm whales live in all kinds of open oceans and have been found in both tropical and cool waters. the inhabit all but the polar seas and rarely dwell in coastal waters.
